The Best Moon Lamps

The Best Moon Lamps

Nightlights aren't just for kids anymore. And while many gentler alternatives to the harsh ceiling bulbs of our youth have emerged throughout the years, there's one decorative light that's been eclipsing all the rest - the moon lamp. Emitting a soft but still functional luminosity, many of these lamps are interactive, USB-chargeable, and just plain gorgeous. We've accepted the mission and explored the best moon lamps out there to bring you our five most recommended lunar lights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the light from a moon lamp bright enough to read/write by?

While some of these models can get pretty bright at their highest level of remote adjustment, they are recommended to be used in ambient or decorative lighting situations only. Your eyes strain when reading in low-light conditions, so we suggest supplementing these little lunar lights with some other stronger source of illumination, such as a desk lamp.

How do I know when my lamp is charged?

Most of the models we listed above come with an indicator light that makes the moon glow (usually) red when it’s charging and blue/green when it’s fully charged. Just plug the charging cable into the port on the bottom of the globe and let it sit for 2-3 hours until the light changes, and then your moon lamp is ready to illuminate the night again.
