As opposed to blade grinders, burr grinders give you more control over the grind size, and the results are always very consistent. (It’s tougher to get evenly-ground coffee with blade grinders, which function more like a blender.) That’s because a burr grinder doesn’t chop up the coffee; it uses two abrasive surfaces to either finely or coarsely grind your coffee.
